Standard: ASTM A615/A AND 615M, DIN 488
Rebar Scanner
Rebar Scanner is a portable intelligent non-destructive testing instrument used in the structural inspection of reinforced concrete. Carry out accurate testing by measuring the depth of rebar cover, and diameter of rebar on the surface of reinforced concrete, and analyze the distribution of the rebar.
The ergonomic design makes it easy to use for long hours. The host is equipped with a touchable full-color LCD Screen, 854 x 480 with a clear interface.
Features of Rebar Scanner
Ability to test concrete rebar scanner:
- Large capacity rechargeable battery (6400mAh).
- High detection accuracy.
- High-precision linear hall sensor for rebar spacing detection.
- Support stirrup spacing and diameter correction to improve the measurement accuracy of concrete cover depth.
- Professional PC software with intelligent analysis.
- Storage of up to 5000 objects and 500,000 measuring point data.
- High-power solid transmitting coil for strong anti-interference.
Standards
- ASTM A615/A and A615M: American standards developed by ASTM International for deformed and plain carbon-steel bars used as concrete reinforcement.
- DIN 488: German standard established by Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN), specifying dimensions, tolerances, and weights of reinforcing steel bars (rebars) for concrete construction.
Test Procedure for Rebar Scanner
-
Power On and Calibration: Turn on the Rebar Scanner and ensure it is properly calibrated according to manufacturer instructions.
-
Surface Preparation: Clean the surface of the concrete structure to remove debris, dust, and any loose material that could interfere with the scan.
-
Select Scanning Mode: Choose the appropriate scanning mode based on the specific requirements of the inspection (e.g., depth of cover, diameter measurement, rebar distribution).
-
Positioning: Place the Rebar Scanner on the surface of the concrete at the desired location for testing.
-
Scan: Slowly move the scanner across the surface in a systematic pattern, ensuring complete coverage of the area of interest. Maintain a consistent speed and pressure during scanning to obtain accurate results.
-
Data Collection: Record data provided by the scanner, including depth of rebar cover, diameter of rebars, and distribution of rebars within the structure.
-
Analysis: Analyze the collected data to assess the condition of the reinforced concrete structure. Evaluate the integrity of the concrete and the effectiveness of the reinforcement bars in providing structural support.
-
Reporting: Prepare a detailed report documenting scan results, including the location of rebars, depth of cover, diameter measurements, and any anomalies observed. Include recommendations for repairs or further investigation, if necessary.
-
Conclusion: Conclude the test procedure by reviewing findings and ensuring all necessary data has been accurately recorded.
