A Dial Indicator, also known as a dial gauge is a measuring tool used for measuring small linear distances with high accuracy. It consists of a needle-like pointer mounted on a dial, which can rotate around a fixed point. The pointer moves in response to changes in the distance being measured. Dial indicators are commonly used in manufacturing, machining, and engineering applications to measure dimensions such as variations in part dimensions, deviations from a reference point, or the accuracy of machine movements.
