3 Gang Cube Mould 150mm, ABS Plastic (Extruded Type)

The 3 Gang Cube Mould 150mm, ABS Plastic is used to create three precise 150mm concrete cube test specimens simultaneously. The term "3 Gang" indicates that the mold features three cavities, allowing for the concurrent production of multiple cubes within a single molding cycle. Employing the extrusion molding technique, molten ABS plastic is forced through channels within the mold to form the cube shapes consistently. This mold facilitates efficient and uniform mass production of ABS plastic cubes, ideal for various industrial applications. These one-piece 3 gang molds, made from new ABS plastic, are strong, lightweight, undeformable, and resistant to vibration shocks and wear, and do not require mounting and dismounting operations, thus saving time and labor. The specimen is expelled from the mould by compressed air or water. they just require a simple clean and demould oiling before being ready for use again continuously.

Features of 3 Gang Cube Mould 150mm, ABS Plastic

  • Multiple Cavities enable the simultaneous production of three cube-shaped objects in each molding cycle, thus increasing efficiency and output.
  • Precision Engineering to ensure that each cavity produces cube-shaped objects with accurate dimensions, specifically measuring 150mm on all sides.
  • Extruded Type Design facilitates the creation of cube shapes by forcing molten ABS plastic through channels or passages within the mold. This design ensures consistent cross-sectional profiles and uniform cube shapes.
  • Versatile Industrial Application.

Standard: EN 12390-1, ASTM C39/C192, AASHTO T23/T126, BS 1881:108

  • EN 12390-1

This European Standard outlines procedures for testing concrete used in structural applications. Specifically, Part 1 of this standard focuses on conducting compression tests on concrete specimens. It offers detailed instructions for the preparation and examination of concrete samples to ascertain their compressive strength. By following the guidelines outlined in EN 12390-1, engineers and technicians can accurately assess the structural integrity and load-bearing capacity of concrete elements in construction projects.

  • ASTM C39/C192

These standards are established by the American Society for Testing and Materials which are important standards in concrete testing. ASTM C39 outlines the procedure for determining the compressive strength of cylindrical concrete specimens, while ASTM C192 provides standardized protocols for creating, curing, and testing specimens in laboratory settings. These standards ensure consistent and reliable evaluation of concrete properties, crucial for maintaining construction quality and compliance with industry standards.

  • AASHTO T23/T126

AASHTO T23 and T126, established by the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials, are pivotal standards for concrete testing. AASHTO T23, akin to ASTM C192, delineates laboratory procedures for creating and curing concrete test specimens, while AASHTO T126 provides guidelines for field testing, specifically for creating and curing concrete compression and flexural test specimens in situ. Together, these standards ensure standardized protocols for preparing, curing, and testing concrete specimens, vital for evaluating material performance in transportation infrastructure projects.

  • BS 1881:108

This British standard specifies the method for making test cubes from fresh concrete and testing them for compressive strength. It details the equipment, materials, and procedures required for preparing and testing concrete cubes.

Testing Procedure of 3 Gang Cube Mould 150mm, ABS Plastic

  1. Specimen Preparation: Prepare the ABS plastic material according to the manufacturer's specifications. Ensure the material is clean and free from contaminants.
  2. Mould Setup: Place the mould on a flat, stable surface. Ensure that it is secretly fixed in place to prevent movement during the extrusion process.
  3. Extrusion Process: Heat the ABS plastic material to its melting point and feed it into the mould through the extruder. The mould's design channels the molten plastic into the three cavities, forming cube-shaped objects.
  4. Cooling & Solidification: Allow molten plastic to cool and solidify within the mold. This involves a cooling phase to ensure proper solidification of the plastic material.
  5. Ejection of Specimens: Once the plastic has solidified, remove the cube-shaped specimens from the mould. This may involve manual ejection or the use of mechanical devices, depending on the mould design.
  6. Quality Inspection: Inspect the cube specimens for any defects, such as warping, surface imperfections, or dimensional inaccuracies. Ensure that the specimens meet the required standards and specifications.
  7. Testing: Make sure to perform any required tests on the cube specimens to evaluate their mechanical properties, such as compressive strength, tensile strength, or impact resistance. Use and follow standard testing procedures.
  8. Documentation: Testing procedure results should be recorded, including observations or measurements taken during the process. Ensure the detailed documentation is maintained for quality control and future reference.
  9. Documentation: Record the results of the testing procedure, including any observations or measurements taken during the process. Maintain detailed documentation for quality control and future reference.
