Standards
- EN 12390-3: This is a European standard that specifies the method for determining the compressive strength of hardened concrete specimens. It outlines procedures for preparing and testing cylindrical or cubical concrete specimens under specified conditions. EN 12390-3 provides guidance on equipment, specimen preparation, testing procedures, and calculation of results. Compliance with this standard ensures that concrete meets the required strength criteria for various construction applications.
- ASTM C39: Published by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), ASTM C39 is a widely recognized standard used in the United States and internationally for determining the compressive strength of cylindrical concrete specimens. Similar to EN 12390-3, ASTM C39 provides detailed procedures for specimen preparation, testing methods, and calculation of results. It is commonly referenced in construction specifications and quality control procedures to ensure the performance of concrete meets specified requirements.
- AASHTO T22: AASHTO (American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials) T22 is a standard test method used in the United States for determining the compressive strength of cylindrical concrete specimens. It is specifically tailored for applications related to transportation infrastructure, such as highways and bridges. AASHTO T22 outlines procedures similar to ASTM C39 for specimen preparation, testing, and result calculation, ensuring the quality and durability of concrete used in transportation projects.
Test Procedure of Automatic Compression Machine 2000kN
- Preparation of Specimens: Prepare concrete specimens according to the required standards and specifications. Ensure that the specimens are properly cured and have the appropriate dimensions.
- Specimen Loading: Place the concrete specimen on the compression platen of the machine. Ensure that the specimen is aligned properly and that any necessary accessories, such as centering devices, are used to distribute the load evenly.
- Automatic Loading: Unlike manual compression machines where the operator applies force manually, in an automatic compression machine, the loading process is automated. The machine applies force to the specimen automatically according to the preset testing parameters, such as loading rate.
- Force Control: Feature precise force control mechanisms, ensuring consistent loading rates and accurate force application throughout the test. This eliminates variability caused by manual loading and ensures reliable results.
- Data Acquisition: The machine automatically saves test results for up to 450 specimens, eliminating the need for manual recording and ensuring comprehensive data storage for future reference and analysis.
- User Input and Interface: User-friendly interface where operators can input test parameters, specimen information, and testing criteria. This simplifies the setup process and allows for customization of testing procedures.
- Graphical Display: Feature graphical displays that show real-time graphs of force versus time or force versus displacement during the test. This visual representation helps operators monitor the progress of the test and identify any anomalies or irregularities.
- Automatic Result Calculation: Once the test is complete, automatic machines can automatically calculate key parameters such as compressive strength based on the recorded data. This reduces the need for manual calculations and minimizes the risk of errors.
